It was a relatively easy climb, and the campsite we took was near the peak so we were able to go up early to catch the sunrise...
yeah yeah, I went up to see a sunrise and what do I get?

Just when what you really really want is within view, you find out that its an uphill climb, full of crazy slopes and loose rocks that you just gotta thread through. *heh* It's an uphill climb alright, but I don't mind, besides, a mountain ain't worth squat if it ain't high... *heh*

Famy Getaway...

Went to another hike last saturday, weather was perfect, trail was kinda abused already but "trekkable" nevertheless, this is one of the sights that make this place famous...

Anyhoo, the weather kinda went sour on the way back, and our decision was based on either we get wet or we wait till the rain stops and hike at night... we didn't have flashlights so the choice was kinda easy...
My shoe, after i took off most of what stuck to it.... mud mostly...

I found this a couple of days ago, I usually go to the nearby convenience store during lunch breaks to by myself a drink, and what I'd do is I'd just rush into the store, open the fridge, and grab the drink so I can pay and leave, well, I saw part of the tagline in my periphery and thought... hey! "Cannot Seen" doesn't make a sentence...

Well, to give them credit, at least they got the point across.... :P

I was chatting with a friend while driving along a mountainside when I sorta asked out of the blue "It's a good thing we don't have forest fires in the mountains...". My friend was quick to quip "What forest?", that reply made me glance at the side and what I saw was an almost barren mountainface, except of course for a few lonely trees here and there... funny, true, and sad...
Anyhoo, In a lighter note, people mistake me for a korean... parking lot guards speak to me in english, you can see them trying really hard to, people think im a korean tourist when we go out of town AND speak to me in choppy english, and my favorite is when people greet me "good morning" and I greet them back in "magandang araw po" and they give me that surprised look! wahaha :D
Im a korean lookin' chinoy speakin' chinoy (whatever that means)...

Whoa! hot hot hot! I noticed that my van is more of an oven lately than a car, and the A/C ain't helping much. What makes it worse is that when driving at noon, notice that there is always a curve in every car that will reflect the sun's rays into your eyes... convenient huh... but, who am I to complain, I'll just buy some shades :D

Everytime during a hike up a mountain, sometime somewhere along the trail I'd be sooo tired, thirsty and hungry, I'd always think to myself "Why the heck am I doing this?".... I guess this is the reason :D

Is a frankenmovie, it has various scenes and concepts and character traits that are taken from Lord of the Rings, I have a feeling the director wanted to achieve a LOTR-ish feel to it by showing a lot of landscape views, uruk-hai-like monsters, swordfights and arrowshots reminiscent of Aragorn and Legolas, sadly they failed miserably and fell into the hole of blatant corniness. Also, the movie lost a lot of the good stuff that was prevalent throughout the "Ok Ka Fairy Ko" series, and the casting just didn't work right. I was asking myself again and again why I went to watch this movie in the first place... It was terrible, but I do have to commend the acting of Michael V who did the "Shrek-donkey-gollumesque" character in the movie, the way he protrayed the character was very light and natural, I do hope that he gets an award for that :D

Choco Buffet

Yes you read it right, me and my bro went on a choco buffet last week, it was a very unique experience and everything I ate made me wanna write something about it. So upon arriving home from the buffet, I sat down and started writing, I didn't finish it that night though so I thought I'd continue it the next day. But then through the various chats and conversations I had the next day, I slowly found out that through the course of the existence of the Choco buffet, various people have already made their written praises about it (magazines, newspaper columns, etc.). So I decided to scrap the whole idea of writing about it and just greet anyone who reads this a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year :D

Feng Shui... not the movie

Here's the gist, why the heck is there feng shui? and what is it all about? as an architect, I've had experiences with people who have a deep belief in these things, and sometimes it just perplexes me how they do...
Now I'm no expert in analyzing things, and I hope you correct me if I'm wrong but I think the main concept of Feng Shui is to attain luck, as much of it as possible, why? I have my ideas but I'll get to it some other time... tell me what you think first :D

Sometimes I wonder if those traffic enforcers have eagle eyes or something, but somehow one managed to see my color coded plate from the opposite side of an intersection while my car was covered by another vehicle... just plain magic... well here goes most of it and it gets better, I was gonna go swimming with my friends that day, I was completely aware of my decision to bring out my color coded car, and I was planning to talk my way out of it whenever a cop would flag me down. So finally when this traffic guy comes and tells me of the violation, I give him my license and was about to say my piece, but when he took a look at my license, the first thing he said was: "Your license is expired"... whoo! talk about shoving a sock into your throat! All the time I was driving people around with an expired license!! and I thought I had one more year to go! So anyway, the ordeal resulted in me trying to bring down the price of the *ahem* fine that I'm gonna give... sigh.. I feel bad... let me rephrase that, I feel really bad.
I met my friends after that and practically ruined our time together with all my venting... I love my swim buddies.

What terrible way to go through the week, it seems that I have developed some "kinda-serious-type" of sore throat, wherein I wake up every morning for the past 4 days with a submarine lodged sideways in my throat, also included in the package are a little nausea and fever. I'm switching from lemons and bactidols to more serious types of medicine. My mom is starting to administer some really bitter stuff down my throat, they taste bad and I'm not feeling any better yet, ugh...

Yup, you read it right, I'm sick, sick sick and sick... actually I just have the common flu, with a little sore throat, and a little fever... normally I can take all that, its the eating part I can't bear though, especially if its food that I really like.
Friends tell me to take lots of Vit C., so where should I start where should I start? hehe... beware all ye oranges and pomeloes, haha!!
